Day 197

Ava's gas was 57 this morning and it was cappillary (heel stick), so if it was from her PIC line, it would have been better. She got another PIC line in today and it went in on the first stick.

I got two phone calls today about Ava coming home and what needs to be done. They are working on a discharge meeting this week. Thank You God! Ava also breastfed really well today. At least for 15 to 20 minutes (maybe even more). She did so well and didn't really want to stop, but her vent kept popping off the trach. She took her time to suck, swallow and breathe and the flow of milk didn't bother her a bit.

Also, Knox Church (on Elmwood Ave in Kenmore, NY) is having a prayer vigil for Ava on August 29th at 6pm. We are going to praise God for all he has done for Ava and us and to pray for more healing for Ava. All are invited. We are going to be handing out bookmarks with Ava's photo on it along with her bible verse; Psalm 118:17.

Praying for Ava to not need oxygen anymore...
