Ava is having another good day today. All the nurses that haven't seen her in a few days are so happy to see that she is off of the oscillator. She is on 40% O2 today, tonight she was at 38% and she is down to 40 breaths per minute. Her blood gas was 55. Her sugar is up both in the morning and this evening so they had to give her insulin again. She is on her 2 last doses of steroids, so the sugar should go away shortly.
Once she gains more weight she will start physical therapy. She stayed the same at 1lb 13 oz. today. Hopefully she will be 2lbs by Saturday.
Almost at 6 weeks and she has 4 more until I can possibly feed her... Then I will be REALLY busy and I'm looking forward to it. =)
