This blog is all about the life of our beloved daughter Ava, whom we don't know how long will be on this earth. We pray every day for God to give her more strength for her lungs to grow and live longer than any of us.

Day 65
Ava is supposedly 3 lbs. 9oz. this evening. She is on 50% O2 and still is 55 breaths per minute. She is only getting one blood gas a day, and that was 61 at 6am. They aren't able to make any changes to the vent since her CO2 isn't that much lower.
The doctor came in this evening and told me that her liver enzymes normalized and her bone density was getting better. He is happy with her progression and will be very happy if her lungs continue on the same path without regressing. The steroids will probably be done early next week. She is currently on a very low dose. One of the things he is most concerned about is her eye exam next Tuesday. Please pray that her eyes are perfect and healed if there are any problems.
Tonight, Ava's night nurse dressed her up in the outfit I couldn't resist buying her today. She said she even had her sitting up and she had her eyes wide opened. I wish I could have been there...
Praying for more successes and very happy for what God has blessed us with...
