Ava is doing pretty good today. Her blood gas was 40 this morning, so they brought her amplitude down to 22. She is on 26ml of food and did great.
Her blood gas was 33 this evening. She is on 30% O2. Her amplitude came down to 18. Her glucose is still running high so they gave her some insulin. She is sucking like crazy on her pacifier and that's a quote from her nurse! They started giving her feed not from a machine that gives it to her for an hour. She can actually eat the food in minutes! It's unbelievable.
The nurse weighed her tonight and she was 3lbs. 1 oz. That would mean she possibly gained 110 grams. There could be an error weighing her last night since she only gained 20grams yesterday or she has retained a bit fluid (but there isn't too much) OR she really is over 3lbs. We shall see with what she weighs tomorrow.
I heard the whisperings of moving her to the ventillator... Anthony is sick right now so I'm praying I don't get it so I can possibly hold her if they do move her.
